Two More Weeks Please!

Christmas is coming much too quickly! I am ashamed to say that I have not spoken to Santa, bought ONE single gift, put up a manger scene, viewed any Christmas lights, baked any Christmas goodies, or listened to N'Sync's Christmas cd all the way through. Honestly, now I feel so overwhelmed with all I have to do before Thursday, I don't know where to begin. However, I am proud that we managed to put up our stolen borrowed Christmas tree and adorn the mantle with our lovely stockings. (Pete and Berkley have to share one this year.) I also have a wreath on each door. I'm so accomplished.

Haven't received a Christmas card from me this year? That's because we haven't sent one. So, here are our attempts at a possible Christmas card for your viewing pleasure....

1. This is the one I would probably send if I was going to send one. Both dogs are visible even though Berkley can't understand why Ben is holding him in place. This is like take #10. Merry Christmas everyone.

2. Berkley just doesn't get it. Season's Greetings.

3. Ben's leg is tired. Happy Holidays to your and yours.

Seriously, I am excited about Christmas time, I just wish that time would slow down so I could enjoy it! I haven't told many people yet, but I just got a new job as a back up pharmacist for a company that does long-term care (nursing homes). What is that? Basically I work from home but I take calls from 5:00pm until the pharmacy opens again at 8:00 in the morning. I honestly can't tell you how I feel about it yet because I have still been working full time for Wal-Mart (40 plus hours) and then taking calls at night. The recipe for a mental break down. The first 2 weeks of December were really rough. Hence, the reason I have done nothing to get ready for Christmas. Starting in January, I am going part time with Wally World and I'll be getting a little more rest. Yay!

Ben and I have managed to do a few fun things this holiday season. We got to go to each other's company Christmas parties, which made me feel like a real grown up. AND I got to go watch Adalyn's preschool Christmas program. That program was by far the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Even though it was her first time infront of a big audience, Adalyn didn't seem nervous at all. She spent a lot of time looking for her parents....

It was so cute! She was so excited about her Christmas outfit and all the songs she got to sing. Watching the program made me think about how much fun having kids will be one of these days in a couple of years.

Ok, it's shopping time. Wish me luck!
