January

I worked extra at the pharmacy this week as Wal Mart was anticipating a huge influx of prescriptions from Walgreen's customers (long story about insurance) and they were providing triple pharmacist coverage.  Let me just say, I love some triple pharmacist coverage, but I am not a huge fan of working extra. Anyway, all that to say that my photo project on days 4 and 5 went out the window, but I do have some informal shots to bring me up to date.

I think most people who read my blog read Haley's blog so you will know that I stole this collage idea from her.  Thanks Haley!  Haley is awesome at the collages.  She is also awesome at taking pictures with her wide angle lens.

Like Haley, I love the Instagram app on my iphone.  It is sweet!  Instagram can make what would be ordinary pictures look pretty cool in a matter of seconds.  When I can't use my SLR or I am just too busy or lazy to hook it up to my computer, upload, and edit the photos, instagram is a great option!

My birthday was Saturday and I turned 29!! I am enjoying the last year of my 20's but also embracing the idea that the big 3-0 is right around the corner.  I think the 30's are going to be great!  I had a wonderful weekend and Ben was extra sweet to me, allowing me to even take a luxurious nap on Sunday.  My friends Josh and Shelley came down to hang out on Saturday/Sunday and it is always great to see them.  Unfortunately I was a bit sickly, but am starting to feel better today.  With a stomach virus last weekend and a cold/crud this weekend, I don't know what the deal is with me.  I am very rarely sick but I guess it is just all going around.  Thankfully Mason and Ben just had the cold stuff and they are doing well.

Mom and Dad gave me a Kindle Fire for my birthday so I am learning how to use that and it is pretty neat.  It is no ipad, but for the price, you cannot beat it!

Day 7: Taking a wagon ride
Here is my little man in his wagon (a Christmas present from my parents) on my birthday.  We all took a walk/ride down to the dog park with our dogs and Josh and Shelley's two long haired dachshunds, Mordecai and Tully.  A kid stopped and asked if all four dogs lived in the same house.  That would be something.  Mason was all fixed up with his formula in the cup holder, mounds of toys to keep him entertained (at one point Ben even put an entire bag of blocks in there before I started taking things out) and his seat strap buckled.  We have to keep that thing buckled because this weekend he learned how to pull up!  He has pulled up on our ottoman twice all by himself!  He has also learned how to go from his belly to a sitting position which is awesome because he was getting so mad when he got stuck on his belly and couldn't figure out how to move!

Mason's favorite person is his Daddy.  I am jealous. I even told Ben to start talking me up to Mason a little bit. Haha!  Mason lights up whenever Ben walks in the room and if Ben does not pick him up or acknowledge him, he falls to pieces!  Maybe he will get that excited about his Mommy one day too.  I did, after all, have my abdomen completely cut open so he could have life.  Seriously kid.

Seriously though, that little green and white thing in the foreground of the second picture of Day 8, is awesome!  My sister-in-law, Tori, made that for me for Christmas and it is one of those heat packs with the rice in it.  It also has stress relief aroma therapy oils in it and it smells so good.  It is my new best friend.  All you do is heat it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and you have hot aroma therapy for your neck, back, whatever.  LOVE IT!  (That is why I took a picture of it.)

Well, I am off to do some worker's comp cases.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year!  Enjoy the BCS game tonight!
